Flathead County sheriff's deputies were notified after an elementary-school student in Somers, angry at a teacher who assigned too much homework, made a kill list. Other students saw the list and, thinking it was funny, made lists of their own. One target named was Santa Claus. The school decided to handle the incident internally.

Someone serving civil papers on a Sherman Lane resident was reported as a suspicious person. The resident got served anyway.

A 54-year-old woman on River Place put a gun to her head and threatened suicide. Her soon-to-be ex-husband took the gun away from her. The woman was taken to the hospital for a mental-health evaluation.

A man and woman on Angel Point Road argued over a custody arrangement.

Kalispell police responded to Windriver Drive, where someone shot an arrow through a home's picture window.

A woman walking near Flathead High School had a blind baby squirrel run up her pants leg.

A man tried to shop at a Second Avenue East North business with a 6- or 8-inch knife in his hand.

A woman stopped on Montana 35 was arrested on two warrants for having a dog at large and one for driving on a suspended license.

Whitefish police served a 24-year-old man at a Sixth Street West residence on warrants for possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and unlawful transaction with a child.

Officers picked up on Montana Avenue a 17-year-old runaway juvenile from Colorado.

Columbia Falls police arrested a 44-year-old man during a traffic stop on Seventh Street West and a 58-year-old man during a traffic stop on Third Avenue East on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Evergreen Fire Department, South Kalispell Fire Department, Smith Valley Fire Department, and West Valley Fire Department were paged out to U.S. 93 South, where small piles of grass were burning.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to reports of a gas leak on Rockefeller Drive.
