Howard Allen Gamett, 50, of Bigfork passed away at his home Tuesday evening, April 8, 2008, with his family by his side. Howard was born Dec. 22, 1957, in Great Falls to Lavon and Myra (Marjerison) Gamett.

Lavon died in 1958. Myra - with her son, Howard - married Robert Lindborg in 1960, and were joined in 1962 by Howard's brother, Lee Robert Lindborg.

Howard and his first wife, Kimberly Gamett Moriah, shared 17 years of their lives together.

He married Eileen Whalen in 2001, and they had a daughter, Kendra. Howard and Eileen later divorced.

Howard attended school in Great Falls and graduated from Charles M. Russell High School in 1976. While in his senior year, he started working for Pizza Hut and rose in the ranks to store manager and then area manager of Flathead Valley Pizza Huts. Since his retirement from Pizza Hut, he held several positions, always enjoying jobs in which he worked with people. While working with Pizza Hut in the Flathead, he served as ambassador chairman for the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, and enjoyed working on chamber events and Leadership Flathead, from which he graduated. Later, he graduated from the Leadership Great Falls program when he was working for the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce.

Howard had a passion for ham radio from an early age; his call letters were KG7QU. He enjoyed photography, the family farm in Plains, and loved any time he spent with family and friends, especially his daughter, Kendra.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Myra, of Bigfork; his brother, Lee Lindborg, and his wife, Debbie, of Plains; his daughter, Kendra Gamett, of Great Falls; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service for Howard will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork.

Memorial gifts will be placed into an educational fund for Kendra.
