A 2-year-old child was found alone in Woodland Park. When a concerned passerby returned the child to a nearby Conrad Drive home, a man was reportedly found passed out on the porch and several other adults were found passed out inside. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies are investigating possible child neglect.

Transients camped out on an El Rancho Road resident's property picked up their tent and left after deputies were informed of the trespassers' presence.

A cyclist on Tamarack Lane took a tumble after losing control when a dog scampered out in front of the bike. The rider, who suffered a head injury, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

Neighbors on Fourth Street West in Hungry Horse got into an argument over a visit from the animal warden.

A man on U.S. 2 near Columbia Falls told deputies his neighbors three doors down were shooting illegal BB guns.

Kalispell Poiice

Kalispell police arrested a 48-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol after leaving a restaurant on West Idaho Street. Officers on their meal break watched the man, who had told servers he was a highway patrol trooper, leave $10 on an $18 bill.

A tractor-trailer was spotted ripping down power lines on East Idaho street.

Four or five men threw a picnic table into the pond at Woodland Park.

Managers of a home improvement store on U.S. 93 believe an employee stole $1,100. The 23-year-old woman was arrested on felony theft.

A 17-year-old boy peeled out from a Bluestone Drive residence, almost crashing into a boat. The boy's mother made him come back and apologize.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested for possession of alcohol after police responded to a family disturbance on East California Street.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old man on five warrants for theft and various traffic violations while investigating a suspicious person report on South Main Street.

Officers responded to a hotel on U.S. 93 South after a 911 hang up and arrested a 23-year-old man for partner assault. He is accused of throwing his girlfriend to the ground. A second man at the scene was arrested on a warrant for driving on a suspended license.

Sunglasses and loose change were stolen from a car on Fifth Avenue West North, checkbooks were stolen from a truck on Yellowstone Street, change was stolen from a car on East Wyoming Street, an iPod was stolen from a car on Glacier Street, CDs were stolen from a vehicle on First Avenue West North, $80 was taken from a car on North Meridian Road, and an iPod, checkbook, and a set of keys were stolen from a car on Hawthorne Avenue.

Whitefish Police

Whitefish police arrested a 46-year-old woman for violating the conditions of her probation after responding to a disturbance on Spokane Avenue.

Columbia Falls Police

Columbia Falls police responded to Second Avenue East North after a BB was shot through a car window.

Skis were stolen from the back of a pickup truck parked at a convenience store on Ninth Street West.

Alarms

The West Valley Fire Department responded to what was reported as a one-acre controlled burn of a field on U.S. 93 north of West Reserve Drive.

The Kalispell Fire Department, Somers Fire Department, South Kalispell Fire Department and Smith Valley Fire Department were paged out to a grass fire on Shelter Meadow Lane.

The Smith Valley Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department responded to Double Eagle Court after it was reported the whole hillside was on fire. The blaze was quickly controlled.

The ALERT helicopter responded to Lost Prairie Road in Marion after a 15-year-old girl suffered a hip injury.

The West Valley Fire Department responded to KM Ranch Road where a grass fire was reportedly spreading into the trees. The blaze was already out when firefighters arrived.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a West California Street school after the smell of natural gas was detected.

The Creston Fire Department responded to a Dumpster fire on Montana 35.
