Milk thief admits guilt

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to Park Drive after a woman reported her son, who she had evicted, for stealing milk. The man returned to the house to collect some stuff, coming through a window because the locks had been changed. After he left, his mother noticed the level of milk in the carton had dropped and called authorities. There was no word on whether he used a glass.

A dog on Farm To Market Road was shot four times with a 12-gauge shotgun. It died.

Someone in a pickup truck with a wood chipper in the back came onto a Hungry Horse woman's property, cut branches off her willow tree, and then left.

Deputies refereed a custody battle between former spouses on Parkway Avenue.

A Dover Drive man refused to accept a long, white package from a person he thought was impersonating a delivery man. The suspected impostor was gone when deputies arrived.

Kalispell police arrested a 19-year-old man for violating a restraining order while conducting a welfare check on a woman at child at a motel on East Idaho Street.

Officers served a 22-year-old man in the Flathead County Detention Center with a warrant for partner assault.

A 24-year-old drunk pedestrian on Ninth Avenue West was arrested for probation violation.

Gun clips found on Glacier Street were returned to their owner.

A man and woman fighting outside a pair of cars on Heritage Way were gone when officers arrived.

Officers responded to South Meadows Drive where a woman told them she was being harassed by her son.

A man, who had been drinking, was taken to the emergency room for a mental health evaluation after threatening to run his car off the road.

Whitefish police arrested a 17- and 16-year-old boys for shoplifting from a grocery store on U.S. 93.
