Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Grande Vista Drive, where a woman wanted help taking what was described as a mentally disturbed 80-pound dog to the animal shelter.

An MP3 player was stolen from a car on Harmony Court.

An Emmons Creek Road woman got a call from a person in Billings, who claimed to be a representative of the local Sheriff's Office asking for donations to buy bullet-proof vests. The woman called the real deputies, who advised her the office was doing no such thing.

Chickens reportedly were killed by a dog on School Addition Road.

A Swan Hill Drive woman told deputies her husband wouldn't let her leave the residence or use the car. Deputies met with the woman at a nearby business, but when they arrived at the home, the husband had left.

Deputies responding to reports of an ungovernable youth on Church Drive were asked by the boy for a ride to Arizona. Deputies refused, and counseled the family.

A West Evergreen Drive woman told deputies she thought someone was coming into her house while she wasn't there and moving her stuff around.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in which a woman driving down Montana 35 thought her husband was following her, possibly with a gun. Deputies found the woman, but the husband never appeared.

The back window of a car on Somers Road was broken out.

Officers believe they interrupted a drug deal near a restaurant on Montana 83.

A pickup parked on Bayou Road with a window busted out was reported as suspicious.

About $200 and a briefcase were stolen from a mechanic shop on Montana 35 in Bigfork.

Kalispell police

Cars with their doors open and contents riffled through were reported on First Street East, Second Street East, Fourth Avenue East, Fourth Avenue East North, Fifth Avenue East, East California Street, Seventh Avenue East North, and 12th Street East. Kalispell police are investigating.

Officers arrested two 17-year-old girls, who had been drinking, on suspicion of breaking into vehicles at the intersection of Fourth Avenue East and Fourth Street.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of trespassing after he allegedly was spotted breaking into a shed on Glacier Street.

Three cars collided on U.S. 93 near Flathead Valley Community College. No one was seriously injured.

Officers served a 19-year-old man being held in the county jail on a warrant for failure to pay traffic fines.

The Montana Highway Patrol initiated a short pursuit on Montana 209 in Bigfork after a man in a stolen pickup refused to stop. Troopers lost him after he ditched the car and ran into some woods. The truck was reported stolen from a park on Montana 83, where a man and his wife had left it to go fishing.

The South Kalispell Fire Department responded to a grass fire on U.S. 93 South. The fire, which was reported to be only 20 feet from a building, was quickly extinguished.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to the train depot, where a man was found lying face-down on the railroad tracks. He was taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Whitefish Fire Department also responded to a vehicle rollover on U.S. 93 near mile marker 131.

The Somers Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of a Lakeside grocery store and a hit gas line on U.S. 93.

The West Valley Fire Department responded to a hit gas line on Whitefish Stage Road, and the Evergreen Fire Department responded to a hit gas line on River Road.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to grass fires on Aluminum Drive and Tamarack Lane.
