Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to South Cedar Creek Drive after receiving reports that a man, allegedly too drunk to get up, was lying in the middle of the road. Deputies were back outside the same residence half an hour later because a drunk woman was arguing with the home's occupant. The 43-year-old man from the original call somehow got involved and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Deputies visited a hobo camp behind businesses on U.S. 2 in Evergreen three times with orders for the transients to move along.

A storage unit on East Cottonwood Drive was vandalized with pink paintballs.

Tools were stolen from a trailer on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

Pills and a needle found at the Flathead County Justice Center turned out to be vitamins and a dry wall hanging tool.

Deputies were unable to locate a child reportedly running up and down a hill dangerously close to Montana 40 at the Whitefish River bridge.

A 29-year-old woman suspected of shoplifting from a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs after medication for which she had no prescription was found in a black case in her bra. She was also arrested for theft because she was allegedly in possession of a checkbook that had been reported stolen.

A sandwich and a cigar were stolen from a convenience store on U.S. 93 and Montana 40.

A coffee stand on Woodland Park Drive was burglarized - one of about half a dozen hit in the last couple weeks.

Vehicles were broken into on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Guns and a gun safe were stolen from a Glacier Hills Drive residence.

A Rocky Cliff Road shop was broken into and a 1998 Mercedes 320 was reported missing.

A mirror was reported stolen from a trailer on First Avenue North in Hungry Horse. The rest of the house was reportedly trashed.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a 43-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol and assault after responding to a disturbance on Conrad Drive.

An 18-year-old man was arrested for felony theft after allegedly stealing a 2001 Dodge Neon in Chehalis, Wash., picking up four friends, and driving to Kalispell. Police ran the car's plates after responding to a noise complaint on Fourth Avenue West. The four passengers are each being held on trespass to vehicle charges.

Officers counseled a Flathead High School student on the use of marijuana.

Someone parked their car in a Sixth Avenue West resident's yard. When the homeowner confronted the culprit, the driver shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

A 15-year-old Buffalo Square Court girl was arrested for family member assault after allegedly threatening her mother with a knife.

Officers responded to a Seventh Street West home where a man, who had been drinking, got into an argument with a woman. She was gone when deputies arrived.

A 50-year-old woman, who had been drinking, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct after an altercation at a bar on U.S. 93 South.

A man was seen rifling through a car at a convenience store on U.S. 93 South. An antenna was taken from a car on North Meridian Road. A stereo and a purse were taken from cars on Eighth Street West. A stereo was stolen from a car on First Street West. Three vehicles were broken into on 11th Street West. Cigarettes were stolen from a car on Fifth Avenue West.

A mailbox on North Meridian Road was vandalized.

Three muffled shots were heard on Sixth Avenue West and somebody was seen running away.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police responded to Martha Road residence after computer equipment was reported stolen.

Officers arrested a 25-year-old woman for driving under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop on U.S. 2.

Alarms

The Olney Fire Department responded to a rollover accident on U.S. 93, but no one was near the car. The driver had gotten a ride back to Eureka.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Kelly Road after a gas line was reportedly ruptured.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to the Old Steel Bridge, where a cutting torch set an old railroad tie smoldering.

The Somers Fire Department responded to a fire on Brass Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a three-car accident on U.S. 93 just south of West Reserve Drive. Two of the six people who suffered minor injuries were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical center.

The Hungry Horse Fire Department and Canyon Quick Response Unit responded to an accident on U.S. 2. There were no injuries.
