A 17-year-old boy accidentally shot himself while picking off gophers on Farm To Market Road. He was taken by private vehicle to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. His injuries are not life-threatening. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies took the report.

Deputies arrested a a 32-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol after a short chase on Montana 35 near Helena Flats Road. Speeds reportedly hit 90 mph.

A video game system was stolen from an unlocked car parked at a business on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Deputies arrested a 16-year-old boy for stealing a videotape from a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

The back window of a home in the 2100 block of U.S. 2 was broken out. About $300 in change in a jar and a police scanner are missing.

Kalispell police arrested a 42-year-old man for partner assault, unlawful restraint and tampering with a communications device after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend at an East Idaho Street motel.

Officers arrested a 17-year-old boy for possession of drugs and an 18-year-old man for possession of drug paraphernalia while investigating a complaint at Lawrence Park.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department responded to a business on U.S. 2 where a 5-year-old boy was choking. The boy later was able to breathe and talk.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to U.S. 2 residence after a recreational fire was reported as a fire restriction violation. The homeowner agreed to let the fire burn out.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to an electrical fire in the stove of a Ramsey Avenue home.
