Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to the intersection of U.S. 93 and Montana 82 after receiving reports that a man held a gun to another man's head and then drove away in a purple minivan. Authorities caught up with the vehicle in Kalispell and spoke with two men inside. The pair initially denied having the firearm, but eventually admitted they were trying to sell it. Deputies arrested one of the men, a 22-year-old, on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.

The electric company also filed a theft complaint against a Coram Stage Road resident, who allegedly was stealing juice.

Two men got into a fight at a bar on U.S. 2 in Coram. One man left the scene in a bronze pickup, and the other went to North Valley Hospital for stitches.

When a woman in talks with a man about renting a place she found online drove by the Airport Road residence, she saw a "For Sale" sign out front. The woman contacted the Realtor, who informed her that the man trying to rent out the house didn't own it.

An 18-year-old and a 22-year-old littering on Cedar Flats Road were ticketed on suspicion of trespassing. Deputies asked them to go back and pick up their trash.

Medication was reported stolen on Grand Drive in Bigfork.

An Evergreen woman reported that her son was being threatened by another boy.

Deputies responded to bar fights, each involving at least 10 people, at two Coram-area taverns.

The power company disconnected the electricity at an Old Timber Trail residence because the occupant reportedly had tampered with the meter or other equipment. Workers requested deputies accompany them to avoid trouble.

Deputies told a man who stopped outside a business on U.S. 93 on his way between Kalispell and Whitefish to move along after his presence made employees nervous.

A 56-year-old man cut his arm when he crashed his bicycle into a ditch on Rose Crossing to avoid a collision with a veering car.

Someone apparently flattened all the tires on a Columbia Falls area man's car.

Two men tried to walk into a Rufenach Lane woman's apartment, but her door was locked so they went away.

Deputies received 175 calls between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police received a 911 call from a woman at a hotel on U.S. 93 South. She was asking for a wake-up call. Apparently she had the wrong number.

Vehicle parts were reported stolen from a shop on Third Avenue West North.

A man with his truck and trailer parked on the property of an East Idaho Street car dealership refused to acknowledge an employee asking him to move. Until police were called.

An Appleway Drive resident heard a young girl screaming, then a man's voice, then items being thrown - all coming from the neighbor's home. Turns out a 4-year-old really wanted some juice.

A Cyclone Drive couple called police after someone tried to break into their home. They heard whispering outside.

Men occupying two tables at a restaurant on East Idaho Street were becoming verbally aggressive with each other, so they got kicked out. Police were called to make sure the situation didn't escalate in the parking lot.

A Fourth Street West resident stepped outside and found a gas can and siphoning hose next to his vehicle.

Medication was stolen from a River View Drive residence and a set of wooden golf clubs was taken from the back of a vehicle on Fourth Avenue East.

Someone keyed a vehicle on Fifth Avenue East.

Officers received 70 calls between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Someone slashed the tires on a bike on Baker Avenue. Whitefish police took the report.

Officers received 43 calls between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on U.S. 2.

Electronics were stolen from a house on Seventh Street West.

Officers received 32 calls between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Ferndale Fire Department responded to reports of a bonfire on Montana 83 and the Kalispell Fire Department responded to reports of a bonfire off U.S. 93.

The Somers Fire Department responded to Spring Creek Road where smoke, but not flames, were seen pouring out of a structure.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to a grocery store on U.S. 2 after a man fell 14 feet. He was taken to North Valley Hospital.
