Flathead County sheriff

Two men and a woman reportedly were firing bullets into the air outside a bar in Marion. The bartender took the gun away and then called Flathead County sheriff's deputies.

Deputies were called to check on a man found lying in the road near the intersection of U.S. 93 and Boon Road. The man, who reportedly was having an asthma attack, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Deputies were called to roust some transients from the parking lot of a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. Their camp reportedly was nearby.

Deputies were called to mediate a child custody dispute on U.S. 2 in Marion and break up a disturbance between people on West Cottonwood Drive.

Someone broke in a Stoner Creek Road home, but authorities have not been informed whether anything went missing.

Deputies were unable to locate the source of three shots heard near the end of Bear Creek Road.

A 48-year-old Bald Rock Road man was arrested on suspicion of partner assault after he allegedly attacked his wife. Deputies responded to the residence after receiving a 911 hang-up.

Deputies were called to Columbia Falls to remove an unwelcome man from a Fourth Avenue West North residence.

A resident of a trailer court on U.S. 35 called deputies after watching people switching license plates on vehicles.

Deputies were called to remove a girl from her father's custody, per court order. The girl, it turns out, was already on her way back to her mother.

A Wiley Dike Road resident had questions about a fence damaged by her neighbor's horse.

Deputies received 161 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

A man walked into the station and asked Kalispell police for money to buy a cup of coffee. He was offered a cup of the station's finest brew, but refused - saying he would wait for a coffee shop to open.

Officers confiscated skateboards from boys on First Avenue East, one of whom was also arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing a police officer, and resisting arrest.

A West Idaho Street pawn shop called police to check the status of a gun. It came back stolen out of Washington state.

While responding to reports of domestic abuse on Eighth Avenue West, officers arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

A woman took a barbecue grill from an Indian Trail Road residence. A neighbor called police because the home's owner asked him whether he had seen that woman at the house.

Someone ran an extension cord from an outlet in the picnic area of Woodland Park to his truck, where it was powering a microwave. Officers told the squatters to heat their food and leave.

A car on Second Avenue West in which a passer-by thought five children may be sleeping was gone when officers arrived.

A Third Avenue West woman's roommate, who had been drinking, was running around outside the house, yelling and screaming.

A man banging on a Hawthorne Avenue resident's door and mumbling was directed to the right address.

Someone stole a comforter from a Laundromat on West Montana Street.

A Sixth Street East resident found a young boy running through the neighborhood and put him back in his fenced yard. The boy promptly got his head stuck in the gate. He was freed.

Two cousins arguing about who was going to drive on Eighth Avenue East were told to move on.

Officers received 87 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 55 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

A driver called Columbia Falls police to report another driver who ran a red light and almost crashed. The reporting party feared the motorist was drunk.

The Marion Fire Department responded to a business on U.S. 2 after an employee smelled something burning.

The Badrock Fire Department responded to Middle Road after receiving reports that power lines were down and a tree fell across the road.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a crash in front of a fast-food restaurant on U.S. 93 and took one person to North Valley Hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to the parking lot of a bank on East Center Street after a car caught fire.
