Flathead County sheriff

A Harmony Road man asked Flathead County Sheriff's deputies what he could do about his neighbor, who reportedly refuses to remove a tree that fell across the man's shop. Deputies told the man that the matter belonged in civil court.

Someone stole a mailbox on Spring Prairie Road.

A 16-year-old School Addition Road girl refused to go with her mother, requiring deputies to help the pair work matters out.

Game wardens responded to Kickbusch Lane, where a woman reported that a mountain lion was visiting her front porch and eating her dog's food.

Someone used the back door to break into a Middle Lane home.

A landlord told deputies he suspected the tenants of a Montana 40 residence were using drugs. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies responded to Kings Way to remove a woman's unwanted ex-husband. He left before authorities arrived.

Two people at the cemetery on Conrad Drive were possibly using drugs in a green Oldsmobile with tinted windows. They were gone when deputies arrived.

A Hungry Horse man is accused of beating up his girlfriend and then slashing two of the tires on her car. He took off and she didn't need medical attention. Investigators forwarded their reports to the Flathead County Attorney's Office for possible charges.

Dogs were reported stolen from the Somers area and from the parking lot of a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Managers of a convenience store on Montana 35 in Bigfork believe a former employee stole some business checks.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance on Airport Road and arrested a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both for partner assault. He allegedly snatched the remote from her hand, and she allegedly scratched and pushed back.

Officers arrested a 59-year-old man on a Flathead County warrant for partner assault during a traffic stop on North Meridian road, and a 21-year-old man on a warrant for failure to appear during a traffic stop on West Idaho Street.

A Teal Drive man resident sold a car to another man, who failed to pay in full. When the owner got the car back, one of the tires had been slashed.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old man for partner assault after he got into an argument with a woman who allegedly was trying to put a child into a car at Woodland Park without a child seat. The woman told investigators she was pushed.

An officer was requested to speak with a 6-year-old who stole candy from a grocery store on Third Avenue East-North.

Three men with painted faces allegedly were damaging a First Avenue East-North home with baseball bats.

A man, who had been drinking, asked officers to accompany him to a room at a hotel on U.S. 93 South. A woman there allegedly was holding on to his computer and clothes.

A man allegedly threatened another man, who was delivering papers for a rival publication, after the second man tampered with some newspaper boxes belonging to the first man's company.

Forged checks turned up at a West Idaho Street sandwich shop.

A Buffalo Hill Drive man called officers after his ex-wife allegedly took baby clothes without permission.

Officers received 71 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 75-year-old man for driving without a license during a traffic stop on U.S. 93.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 19 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to U.S. 2, where an 11-year-old boy crashed on his bicycle. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a hurt finger and other injuries. The next day the department responded to Addison Square; this time a 10-year-old boy crashed his bike. He also was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Evergreen Fire Department also responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 2, but no one needed transport to the hospital.

The Somers Fire Department responded to Conrad Point Road, where a tree fell across some power lines and caused an outage. The fire department also responded to a Lincoln Lane residence just after midnight Tuesday and extinguished a fire that engulfed the front porch and threatened to spread into the home.

The Bigfork and Ferndale fire departments responded to a rollover crash off Montana 83, but no one needed medical attention.
