Someone called a business on U.S. 2 in Evergreen to warn the owner that some shoplifters may show up in a black Hyundai. When the man showed up, Flathead County sheriff's deputies arrested the 26-year-old on two warrants for contempt of court.

Someone at an open house on U.S. 93 in Lakeside stole a camera from a woman's purse.

A hood ornament was stolen from a vehicle on East Bluegrass Drive.

A man, reportedly with a thick accent, claimed to be selling educational material on Parliament Drive. He, and his bike, were gone when deputies arrived.

A customer at a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen walked out with a new pair of shoes on his feet. They weren't paid for. The old ones were left in the store.

CDs, a multi-tool, and a flashlight were taken from a car on Conrad Drive.

Jewelry was reported stolen from a home on Kintla Way.

Two young women busted on suspicion of shoplifting from a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen claimed they couldn't speak a word of English.

A Blaine View Drive woman told deputies she heard breathing outside her door, and then someone banging on it. The man outside turned out to be a friend of her brother's.

A Terrace Hill man got into a property dispute with a woman staying at his place and called deputies to make her go.

Numerous shots in rapid succession were heard on One Way Road, but deputies were unable to find anything amiss.

A passer-by called deputies to report that vans were playing bumper cars in the parking lot of a sporting goods store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. Turns out one vehicle had died and was being pushed to its driver's destination by the other one.

A Ridgewood Drive woman told deputies her boyfriend, who had been drinking, wouldn't quit arguing and let her go to sleep.

Someone went through a car on Truman Creek Road, but nothing was taken. However, CDs, quarters, a briefcase, and a baseball cap were taken from a car on Browns Meadow Road, and a key ring and a cell phone holder were stolen from a car on Rock Hill Road.

A tank in Hungry Horse was venting either natural gas or propane, but emergency personnel were not required to respond.

Deputies received 151 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a 21-year-old man with outstanding warrants for failure to appear on "peeping Tom" and trespassing charges during a traffic stop on Fifth Avenue West and Fifth Street.

A PT Cruiser was hit by wood coming off a logging truck on East Idaho Street.

Fifteen gallons of fuel was siphoned from a delivery vehicle at an East Idaho Street thrift store.

An 8-year-old boy was reported missing after failing to show up after school. He was later found.

A man, who had been drinking and was riding a pink bicycle, refused to leave a Liberty Street residence with his dog. Officers warned him that he would be ticketed on suspicion of trespassing if he returned.

Someone stole the topper to a pickup on Third Avenue East.

A woman told police her ex-boyfriend was stalking her after she noticed him sitting in the parking lot of her Second Avenue East North workplace.

A group of people was spotted heading into a park off Hawthorne Avenue with a case of beer.

Officers arrested a 30-year-old man on a warrant for traffic violations after responding to a noise complaint on Two Mile Drive.

Officers received 77 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 23 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop on U.S. 2.

An unwanted man fled a Fourth Street West home before officers arrived. Officers also helped to remove a group of unwanted people from an A Street residence.

Officers received calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a crash in front of a grocery store on U.S. 2. Two four-wheelers had collided. The riders were treated on the scene.

The Evergreen Fire Department also responded to reports of an overly intoxicated man at a box store on U.S. 2. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Coram Fire Department responded to reports of a rock slide across U.S. 2 near mile marker 155.

Three Rivers EMS responded to U.S. 2 near Coram after a man fell from his horse. He was taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Second Avenue West after somebody reported smelling natural gas.
