Ten Commandments display Vandalized

Paint was thrown on a religious sign outside a building on Montana 35 in Bigfork. The sign reportedly contained the Ten Commandments.

The parents of a Lakeside Avenue girl called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after a reportedly intoxicated boy arrived to pick up their daughter at about 4 o'clock in the morning. The girl returned about 10 a.m. with a beat-up golf club. Her parents suspect that somewhere in the valley some mailboxes got smashed.

An intoxicated man knocking on strangers' doors at a trailer park on U.S. 2 to ask for a ride home was gone when deputies arrived.

A woman on Montana 40 complained she was being harassed by a neighbor. Both parties were counseled.

Three boys were accused of taking a boat from near a construction site at the Old Steel Bridge. It was returned.

Deputies responded to reports of a disturbance reported at an Evergreen storage facility, but it turns out the man and woman involved were just having a loud discussion.

A woman called deputies after hearing that her 16-year-old grandson was beaten up by his father at an RV park and motel on Shady Lane. Reports will be forwarded to child protective services.

Deputies responded to East Edgewood Drive early Monday morning to break up a fight between a woman and her 16-year-old daughter. They reportedly were arguing about the girl's boyfriend, who was sitting outside on the front porch.

A 100-pound propane tank and a .38-caliber revolver were stolen from a building in the Polebridge area.

Three men were spotted fighting in the parking lot of a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. One man told deputies the other two gave him a ride and then jumped him. The suspects had a different story.

Kalispell police

were called to a casino on U.S. 93 South after management had difficulty kicking out two men. Officers arrived and arrested one of the men for obstructing police and the other for obstructing police and resisting arrest. The second man received a cut on his head while resisting and had to be taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A woman stopped at an East Idaho Street motel and told officers another motorist had cut her off, flipped her off and used profanity. Numerous citations were issued.

Police were called to a Second Avenue East North residence where an unruly 9-year-old girl kept trying to run away. Officers counseled her and her parents.

Someone stole a Subaru from the parking lot at Flathead High School. The keys were still inside.

A 41-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after police received complaints of suspicious activity at an East Idaho Street motel.

A Fourth Avenue West man told officers his ex-girlfriend trashed his place.

A woman called police from a restaurant on East Idaho Street to report that a man was urinating on her tire.

Whitefish police

are investigating reports that tools went missing from a construction site on Dakota Avenue.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls

police responded to 13th Street West after a vehicle there was spray-painted. It may be the work of a person stalking the victim.

A man was charged with privacy in communications after he kept calling and harassing a woman even after she told him to stop. Officers easily found their suspect after the woman complained. He was already in jail.

A knife and GPS unit were stolen from a vehicle on Columbia Drive.

Officers arrested a 53-year-old man on a city warrant for contempt of court after visiting his U.S. 2 residence.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested for shoplifting snack food from a grocery store on U.S. 2.

Alarms

The ALERT helicopter and Marion Fire Department responded to U.S. 2 near the intersection of Idaho Hill Road after an elderly man having a medical problem pulled his car off the highway. He was taken to the hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department responded to Grande Vista Drive after a 55-year-old man was hurt during an incident involving a horse. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with hip pain.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to North Main Street after a man was found passed out. The man, who told responding officers he had only had six beers, was not taken to the hospital.

The Marion Fire Department was paged out to a wildfire on Lower Lost Prairie Road, but turned back when it was discovered to be the controlled burn of a slash pile.
