Several vehicles slid off Flathead County roads in nasty weather Tuesday evening. Authorities were called to help motorists at the intersection of Kila Road and Smith Lake Road, on Pleasant Valley Road, Blanchard Lake Road, and Berne Creek Road. Vehicles also had trouble getting up a hill on Columbia Falls Stage Road near River Road. No one was injured.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Montana Department of Transportation gravel pit near Essex after someone broke in and damaged a building and fence with some heavy equipment.

An employee recently fired from a business on U.S. 2 west of Kalispell reportedly mishandled some deposits, prompting the boss to report a possible theft.

Deputies attempted to contact the owner of a Whitefish Stage Road property so they could clear out a burgeoning hobo camp.

Kalispell police

A South Meridian Road resident filed a complaint with Kalispell police about neighbors who continually urinate in her yard.

A Sixth Avenue East North man reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Someone left a convenience store on U.S. 93 without paying for a bag of ice.

An aggressive driver on U.S. 93 North allegedly gave a fellow motorist the finger and tried to start a fight.

A man told police he was assaulted by two other men on Fourth Avenue West.

Officers responded to the bar in a restaurant on U.S. 93 North after they were informed that a patron flashed a gun. Officers found no gun.

Officers separated a man and woman arguing at a hotel on U.S. 93 South. Items reportedly were thrown during the fracas.

An intoxicated woman trying to buy beer from a convenience store on West Idaho Street was reported for being belligerent.

Medication was reported stolen from a car parked at a grocery store on West Idaho Street.

Officers received 74 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 south of town.

Officers received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 19 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department was paged out to a crash at the intersection on First Avenue East and 13th Street.

Paramedics with the Kalispell Fire Department were dispatched to treat an intoxicated woman on the side of West Reserve Drive.

The West Valley Fire Department and Whitefish Ambulance responded to Star Meadow Road after a vehicle ran into a ditch. One person was taken to North Valley Hospital with injuries.

The Whitefish Fire Department was dispatched to some burning slash piles off Farm to Market Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department responded to U.S. 2 after a vehicle collided with a pole. An injured occupant was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with an injured back.
