The suspicious man parked behind a building on Parliament Drive was just waiting for a square dance to begin, Flathead County sheriff's deputies discovered.

A residential sign was stolen three weeks ago on Foothill View Lane in Bigfork. In other belated reports, a North Fork man said his neighbor put herbicide on his trees in 2006.

Deputies counseled a woman whose son became angry after she took his cell phone away.

A man waiting for a taxi at a casino made other customers uncomfortable. He was gone when deputies arrived.

A window was broken at an inn in Coram, but it doesn't appear the burglars gained entry. Burglars also damaged a door at an Evergreen pawn shop.

A Hungry Horse woman who reportedly has black mold in her house called deputies after she began spitting up foam and her husband refused to move his pickup so she could leave.

Deputies received 143 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

A man at a bike shop was counseled after telling Kalispell police he'd been harassed by people in a green Nissan.

The black-clad young women peeking in car windows on Fifth Avenue East were gone when officers arrived.

A woman accused her ex-boyfriend of being cruel to a dog.

A caller saw a guy in a stocking cap throwing rocks at a man's house.

Loaded weapons were stolen from a vehicle on First Avenue West.

A vehicle was vandalized on Third Avenue West.

A caller said a middle-aged man had run after her friend while she was getting into her vehicle on First Avenue East the night before. The caller suspects it may have been the man spotted rummaging through garbage cans in the area.

Someone ran over mailboxes on Sylvan Drive, damaging a couple of them.

A caller complained about a junk vehicle at a car lot on East Idaho; the van apparently has become a shelter for transients.

A man was arrested on warrants at an East Idaho Street bakery.

A woman who called police to report her husband had just been assaulted ended up getting arrested on warrants.

Someone drove through a yard on Second Street West and damaged the grass and a rain spout.

Officers received 62 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received a report of hay stolen on Crescent Drive.

Officers received 16 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 35 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to reported gas leaks on Fourth Avenue East North and on Ninth Street West. The department also checked out a fuel spill after a vehicle rollover on Ninth Street East.

Marion ambulance took one person to the hospital Friday afternoon after a vehicle rollover on U.S. 2.

Bigfork Fire Department didn't find any visible flames after smoke was reported in a church basement.

Evergreen ambulance took one patient to the hospital after an accident at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Whitefish Stage Road.
