CORVALLIS - It was a rough day for Northwestern A's girls basketball teams at the Tip-Off Tournament on Friday.

Southwestern A won all six of the matchups with its rival conference.

Southwestern A won three of the games by 15 points or more.

In the closest game of the day, Corvallis hung on to defeat Whitefish 39-37.

Whitefish, 0-1, outscored Corvallis 16-9 in the fourth period to make it close.

Kate Klundt scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs.

Tournament action resumes today.

The Wildkats, 0-1, held a 30-29 lead heading into the final eight minutes of play.

Alyssa Ladenberg paced Columbia Falls with 11 points.

The Copperheads took a 40-25 lead into the locker room at the half.

Jackie Mee had a big offensive outing for Libby, 0-1, leading all scorers with 26 points. Jaime Gilden tallied 11.
