Bulldogs roll with Idol's 26

CORVALLIS °(TM) Colt Idol scored 26 points for the second straight day as Whitefish cruised past Dillon 68-47 on Saturday in the Tip-Off Tournament.

Whitefish, 2-0, took charge in the second half by outscoring Dillon, 1-1, 39-18.

Whitefish°Os Aaron Tkachyk finished with 11 points and Josh Bacher added 10.

The two-day tournament had teams from Northwestern A playing against teams from Southwestern A. Northwestern A won six of the 10 games.

Two games on Saturday were canceled because of the weather °(TM) Frenchtown vs. Ronan and Hamilton vs. Polson.

Whitefish was the only Northwestern A squad to win both days.

The Bulldogs crushed Corvallis on Friday, 71-52.

Columbia Falls more than doubled its offensive effort from Friday in blasting Anaconda by 22 points.

The Wildcats, 1-1, blew the game open in the final half, scoring 42 points to Anaconda°Os 25.

Austin Barth, 14 points, was one of four Wildcats to finish in double figures. The others: Tanner Barth 12, Mackey Nolan 11, and Michael Williams, 11.

Columbia Falls scored just 35 points in a 15-point loss to Dillon on Friday.
