Glacier takes second in Missoula speech

Glacier High School's speech and debate team came up short to defending state champion Bozeman at the Garden City Speech and Debate Invitational in Missoula Friday and Saturday.

Glacier finished in second with 129 points, just behind Bozeman's 131.5 points. Flathead High School ended the weekend in fourth place with 112.5 points, behind Missoula Sentinel's 118.5 points.

In Class A action, Columbia Falls was the top team with 27.5 points.

Thirty teams competed in the meet, the largest tournament of the season. Sentinel and Big Sky high schools hosted the competition.
