Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to U.S. 2 after a resident reported a restraining-order violation. The suspect, who also is facing drug charges, was arrested after a short foot pursuit.

A woman told deputies two other women assaulted her at a Bigfork bar.

A Hoffman Draw woman called deputies to complain about her husband, who she says is harassing her. Deputies settled the matter with a phone call.

Someone staying at a hotel near the intersection of U.S. 93 and Montana 82 left without paying a $500 bill.

Items were stolen from a construction site on Morrison Road.

Slide-ins were reported on Montana 35, U.S. 2 in Evergreen, and Whitefish Stage Road.

Deputies received 143 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Someone outside a grocery store on U.S. 93 South told Kalispell police a young child had been left unattended in a parked car. The person who called police later confronted the child's parents, and a yelling match ensued.

A woman came into the station with questions about how to get her car back. She reportedly was selling the vehicle to her boyfriend, but he is six months behind on the payments.

A man asked a Ninth Avenue West resident whether he could use the bathroom and then began acting strangely when the resident refused.

Somebody stole a purse from a car at a bar on U.S. 93 South, but only after busting out the window.

Officers arrested men on suspicion of DUI during traffic stops on North Main Street and Sunnyside Drive and after a crash on South Main Street.

Shots heard on Second Avenue East turned out to be coming from distant duck hunters.

Officers received 125 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of disturbing the peace and drug possession after he was found urinating in a parking lot behind a Central Avenue bar.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after officers responded to a disturbance at a Central Avenue bar.

Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of shoplifting from a downtown snowboard shop.

Officers received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 14 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Bigfork Fire Department and Bigfork Ambulance responded to a slide-in on Montana 83 near Echo Lake Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a home on 10th Avenue West after a resident reported smelling natural gas.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to reports of a fire in a Dumpster at the Kila green box site.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to an apartment above a store on Second Avenue West after smoke filled the residence. Turns out it was coming from burnt food.

The Kalispell Fire Department also responded to a rear-end crash on South Meridian Road. One driver had neck pain but refused to be taken to the hospital.
