Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on U.S. 93 north of Whitefish after a 23-year-old man, who had been drinking, got into an altercation with members of his family. The man allegedly shoved his mother when she tried to intervene. He was arrested on suspicion of family member assault.

Skis were reported stolen on Big Mountain.

A woman on Fourth Avenue West outside Columbia Falls requested deputies come speak with her 8-year-old granddaughter, who reportedly wasn't behaving.

A Hungry Horse resident called to report a neighbor who allegedly was using a shovel to throw snow at the reporting party's house. The dispute reportedly arose over plowing issues.

Deputies responded to slide-ins on Echo Lake Road, Appleway Drive, U.S. 93, Columbia Falls Stage Road, and Montana 209. No one was seriously injured.

Deputies responded to Industrial Court after someone noticed the door to a business had been left open.

A Lore Lake Road resident called deputies to report he was being harassed.

Deputies received 87 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to a drug store on East Idaho Street after a window at the business was broken out. Officers also discovered a broken window at a drug store on Second Street West.

A West Washington Street resident called to report that the water was running in the home next door, which is vacant. Officers were notified that pipes had frozen and then burst at several area residences.

Someone took a snowboard from the back of a truck parked on U.S. 93 North and a video-game system from a vehicle parked on Liberty Street.

Officers were called to Eighth Avenue West after a man and his ex-girlfriend got into an argument. He left; she stayed in with their child.

Officers arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on Three Mile Drive.

A Third Avenue West resident reported being assaulted by his brother.

Officers responded to West Idaho Street and Meridian Road after a car got stuck in the snow.

Officers received 55 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 45-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, both on suspicion of partner assault, after responding to a disturbance on Skyles Place.

Officers received 18 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received reports that someone was trying to pass counterfeit money orders at a pawn shop on U.S. 2.

Officers arrested a 49-year-old woman on a California warrant for parole violation during a traffic stop on Sixth Avenue West.

Officers received 11 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a grocery store on Baker Avenue after somebody there fell, and to a residence on Colorado Avenue to treat someone with possible alcohol poisoning.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Woodland Avenue after an elderly resident fell. The injured person was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a possibly broken arm.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a home on Seventh Avenue West and discovered an elderly woman breathing but unresponsive. Friends of the woman called after she failed to show up for a Christmas gathering. She was taken to the hospital.
