The Columbia Falls City Council will hear a report Tuesday night on land use issues in Flathead County.

The council's regular Monday meeting was rescheduled for Tuesday because of the Presidents Day holiday. Tuesday's meeting starts at 7 p.m. in City Hall.

Myrt Webb, a Columbia Falls member of the Long Range Planning Task Force, will present the report prepared by the task force's Land Use Committee.

He will touch on what's called for in the county's growth policy, as well as county revenue and the services it provides, managing and protecting the human and natural environment, protecting views, and preserving the rights of private property owners.

In a midyear look at the city's 2007-08 budget, finance director Susan Nicosia will update the council on what has changed in various funds and where spending and revenue stands at this time.

The structure of the city's newly formed Tree Board will be finalized. Dave Connor of Columbia Nursery agreed to serve on the board. Terms being recommended are one year for Don Barnhart and Laura Bell, two years for Barbara Jenkins and Mike Shepard and three years for Connor.

And the council will receive a site plan for Western Building Center, where a new truss plant is going up along 13th Street West behind Super 1 Foods. At the last council meeting, member Julie Plevel asked about the fenceline setback for the property.
