Doris was born Sept. 18, 1916, in Kalispell to Lucien and Fannie (Parker) Blackmer.

Doris attended grade school at Lake Blaine and graduated from Flathead High School in 1933. She was married to Thomas P. Yenne on April 3, 1937, at the Blackmer farm near Lake Blaine.
