The Lake County Sheriff's Office is now investigating the Monday morning death of a Ferndale man as a homicide.

Clyde Wilson, 24, was found dead in his Meadow Creek Road home about 5:30 a.m. Deputies were reportedly called to the residence after shots were fired.

Authorities have yet to disclose virtually any of the details surrounding Wilson's death; including who called 911, whether anyone else was in the house when deputies arrived, or if there are any suspects.

Investigators refused Wednesday to return calls requesting further information.

Detectives and the Lake County District Attorney have spent the last two days processing the crime scene and interviewing family members.

Lake County Attorney Mitch Young said Monday he could not comment on the case until the investigation was complete.

Three detectives are working on the case, said Lake County Sheriff Lucky Larson. Both Flathead and Lake County Sheriff's deputies responded to the original call.

According to reports, Wilson lived in the home with his girlfriend and young child.

Anybody with information about the case is encouraged to contact the Lake County Sheriff's Office at (406) 883-7301.
