Fight leads to stabbing

A man was stabbed in the face during a bar fight Friday night in Kalispell.

Shortly after 9 p.m., Kalispell police received a report of a fight at the Scoreboard Pub and Casino on Woodland Drive. When officers arrived, they discovered a man had stabbed another man in the face, according to a Kalispell Police Department press release.

An ambulance was called but canceled when the victim went to Kalispell Regional Medical Center by private car. He was taken to surgery and released Saturday.

The suspect, who was at the bar when officers arrived, was taken to the Police Department for questioning.

No charges have been filed.

The Kalispell Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident and will forward the case to the Flathead County Attorney's Office to be reviewed for possible charges. Names are being withheld pending further investigation.
