Stuart Ragan Nuss, 52

Stuart Ragan Nuss, 52, passed away Dec. 24, 2007, at his home in Columbia Falls.

He was born Sept. 17, 1955, in Livingston and raised in Yellowstone National Park.

He was owner of Nuss Excavating in Columbia Falls, and a former National Park Service employee at Glacier National Park, as well as various other national parks. He was also a smokejumper for the U.S. Forest Service.

Stuart enjoyed woodworking, stained glass art work and gunsmithing.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Nuss; parents, Bunny and Dale Nuss; and sisters, Cara Lee Nuss and Lori Nuss.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at 1370 Mooring Meadow Road. A family memorial will follow this spring.
