Three Braves to play in Shrine all-star game
C-Falls, Libby have 2 selections each; Whitefish 1 for the annual July football classic in Great Falls

Three athletes from Flathead High School have been selected to play in the 62nd annual Montana East-West Shrine football game on July 19 at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls.
Columbia Falls and Libby both have two selections and Whitefish one.
Named to the West roster from Flathead are Mike Gallagher, 5-foot-11, 165-pound receiver; Josh Harris, 6-5, 210, defensive end; and Pat Hergesheimer, 5-11, 173 outside linebacker.
Representing Columbia Falls will be Michael Hader, 5-10, 165, outside linebacker; and Chase Fairbank, 5-9, 160, safety.
Libby's two selections are Jordan Gragert, 6-2, 235, tackle; and Zach Rowan, 6-1, 165, receiver.
Picked from Whitefish is Kevin McDowell, 5-9, 230, center.
Named as alternates were: Polson's Skyler Knutson, guard; Flathead's Tyler Thomas, tackle, and C.J. Manning, safety; Columbia Falls' Chase Grilley, tight end; Whitefish's Byron Whitcomb, receiver; and Libby's Jeremy Chumley, running back.
Veteran Polson coach Scott Wilson will be the West head coach.
Eighteen different schools are represented on the West roster, which has 41 players - 20 on offense and 21 on defense.
Players are picked for the Shrine game by a selection committee. Those selected, not counting alternates, have earned all-state honors.
Class AA state champion Helena Capital leads the West roster with five selections. Class A runner-up Dillon has four.
This event is the oldest prep football all-star game in the U.S. It has raised more than $1 million for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Spokane, Wash.
The East leads the West in the series 35-26. The East has won the last four meetings, 21-17 in 2007.
The West all-stars will train in Butte at Montana Tech before the game while the East all-stars will conduct their workouts in Billings. Training camps at both locations begin July 11.
Thirty-nine players are on the East roster. Gary Gebert, head coach at Fergus High School in Lewistown, will coach the East all-stars.
