It's natural for does to leave their fawns alone for an extended period of time, according to a recent press release from the department. The agency cautions people not to touch or move a fawn. The wildlife agency also reminds people to keep dogs under control to prevent them from injuring or killing young wildlife.

Darlene Marie Poirier, 73, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, also a longtime resident of Bigfork and Hot Springs, "went to sleep May 20, 2008, surrounded by her family, and woke up in Heaven." She was born in Kalispell, on Oct. 13, 1934, to William and Suzie Ehret. Her childhood days were spent in Kalispell where she spent a lot of time with her cousins, the Kellys and the Fagerlands. She spoke fondly of Bernice and her family and retained a long friendship until Bernice's passing.

2008, from a massive heart failure while at work for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He was born Aug. 27, 1959, to Russell and Dorothy, (Kleeberger) Simpson in Missoula. Jerry attended schools in Missoula and Florence, and graduated in 1978 from Stevensville High School.

of Eureka, died Saturday May 31, 2008, at his home in Eureka from natural causes. He was born Feb. 14, 1935, in Leeds, N.D., to Howard and Berny Gresdal Hanson. He moved to Eureka at an early age where he grew up and attended school.
Rudolph Rudy H. Hanson, 66, died May 26, 2008, at home in Renton, Wash. He was born in Whitefish on May 10, 1942, to Rudolph and Emma Hanson.
He moved to Seattle when he was 16, and started a very successful gas station for Shell Oil, later adding a parts store.

A McMannamy Draw resident didn't answer the visitor's persistent knocks, hoping the unwelcome person would see the "No Trespassing" signs, take the hint and leave. When the person continued to knock and checked around the house to see whether anyone were home, the resident called Flathead County sheriff's deputies to report an unwanted person. The visitor turned out to be a civil process server trying to serve the resident a notice.
