About $20,000 worth of tools and motorcycle parts were stolen from a storage unit on U.S. 2. Flathead County sheriff's deputies are investigating.

Powerful prescription painkillers went missing from a Church Drive residence after an open house tour.

Shoes, a coat, a camera, and a cell phone were stolen from a residence on Blacktail Road.

A Half Moon Road woman told deputies another woman hit her in the face and her brother-in-law stuck a BB gun in her face, but she ultimately decided not to press charges.

A Hungry Horse woman called deputies after another boy allegedly beat up her 11-year-old son.

Prescription medication was stolen from a motel room at an establishment on Montana 35. Also, the fridge was left open and the room was trashed.

A van was found on its side on a ditch off North Fork Road, but the man and woman inside were not injured.

A parking attendant at Glacier Park International Airport allegedly was threatened because the booth was broken.

People off-roading near the Montana 35 bridge over the Flathead River got their vehicle stuck. One occupant went to get help while a second occupant passed out in the truck.

An iPod and CD player were stolen from an unlocked car on North Hilltop Road.

Two young children came into a Wade Drive resident's home. The homeowner was unable to wake the children's parents and so notified deputies.

No one was injured in a rollover accident on U.S. 2 near Hungry Horse.

Kalispell police

An employee of a restaurant on U.S. 2 notified Kalispell police after receiving a call from a man threatening to harm her if she didn't turn over a videotaped recording of an assault.

A Second Street East resident was approached by a man and woman selling power tools, on the cheap, out of the back of their truck.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South.

A woman bought a dryer at a store on U.S. 93 North and had a man pick it up for her. But the man took it back to his house and now refuses to return it.

A person house-sitting on Glacier Circle returned from the gym to find the front door wide open. The house-sitter was unsure whether anything had been taken.

Officers served a 40-year-old man with warrants for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Officers arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on Sixth Avenue West and Center Street.

It appears somebody tried to break into a medical-supply business on Third Avenue East, breaking a window.

About $90 was stolen from an office at Flathead High School.

Whitefish police arrested a 48-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, without insurance, and on a suspended license during a traffic stop on U.S. 93.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports that someone was assaulted at a Nucleus Avenue business.

Alarms

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to reports of a gas leak on Second Street East and a hit gas line on Cedar Street.

The Kalispell Fire Department was paged out to what was reported as a burning tree - the flames spread to a woodpile - on Seventh Avenue West.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of First Avenue East and Center Street. Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The West Valley Fire Department responded to Prairie View Road after receiving reports that a large fire was out of control. Turns out it was a small, controlled burn being monitored by a person with a burn permit.

The Big Mountain Fire Department responded to what was reported as an out-of-control burn on Big Mountain above Ptarmigan Village. The fire was being overseen by a person with an excavator.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to the city dump, where a mattress was on fire.
