Flathead County Sheriff's deputies counseled a couple of Hungry Horse youths lighting fireworks and throwing them into the bed of a pickup - which had a gas can in back.

A Subaru Outback with Idaho plates involved in a rollover on Jackson Meadows Road had been reported stolen.

Animal wardens responded to Longwood Drive, where a 22-year-old woman who was out jogging was bitten in the leg by a dog.

Concerned about her niece, a woman called deputies to report the girl had been assaulted in Hungry Horse.

A black bear was spotted hanging around the Dumpsters near a Bigfork RV park. A second black bear, this one with an injured leg, was spotted on Latigo Lane.

Deputies were called to Martin City where a man, who had been drinking, and his girlfriend were arguing about custody of their child. Both parties left before deputies arrived, but the man is wanted on federal warrants.

Youths were suspected of setting off sparkler bombs on Cedar Lane.

A car hit a moose on U.S. 93, about 25 miles north of Whitefish. No one was injured.

Someone reportedly was setting mailboxes on fire, possibly with fireworks, near Lower Valley Road. A resident called, concerned that flames might spread to a nearby field. The culprits were gone when deputies arrived.

Deputies were notified of a small disturbance at a West Glacier campground. People partying were allegedly keeping their fellow campers awake.

A dog was kicked by a deer on Cougar Trail.

A man, who had been drinking, verbally assaulted a man on Grand Drive. He left when asked but stayed in the area, prompting the call to deputies.

A lawnmower was reported stolen on Montana 35.

Cabinets were ripped out of a home undergoing foreclosure on Wagon Wheel Road.

Deputies received 204 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police arrested 20-year-old twin bothers, both of whom had warrants for traffic offenses, during a traffic stop on Main Street.

Several girls allegedly got out of a car near a Center Street mall and jumped another girl, giving her scratches. The alleged victim declined medical treatment.

Someone busted up the Coke machine on Sixth Street West, across from Flathead High School. The coin-collector was missing.

Whitefish police responded to East Edgewood Drive, where a calf got into the road.

While being fingerprinted for an unrelated incident, a 29-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant for writing bad checks and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court.

Columbia Falls police received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to the parking lot of a furniture store on U.S. 2, where a 17-year-old girl injured her arm in a skateboarding accident. She was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department, Somers Fire Department, and Lakeside Quick Response Unit were paged to a crash on U.S. 93 and Montana 82, but the people involved in the wreck declined medical treatment.

A garbage can and tree burning on Lost Creek Drive were extinguished by the homeowner before the West Valley Fire Department arrived.

The Badrock Fire Department responded to Columbia Mountain Road after a brush pile was observed smoldering.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to U.S. 93 just south of West Reserve Drive and extinguished a burning car.
