Vincent G. Landwehr, 85

Vincent G. Landwehr, 85, passed away April 29, 2008, in Auburn, Wash. He was born April 22, 1923, in Elbo Woods, N.D., to Mary 'Mame' and Robert Landwehr. Vince was one of five children.

The family moved to Kalispell in 1936, where he was educated and employed as an auto mechanic.

He married Theresa Hudon from Somers on Sept. 27, 1945.

He belonged to St. Matthew's Parish in Kalispell until he moved to Bonney Lake, Wash., in 2001 because of health concerns.

Vince liked to hunt and fish, and truly loved the Montana wilderness. The Bob Marshall was always a very special place to him.

Surviving him are his wife of 62 years, Theresa; and daughter, Marilynn, and Ron Magstadt, of Bonney Lake; three grandchildren, Chris and Sarah Magstadt of Syracuse, Utah, Julie and Drew Neil of Puyallup, Wash., and Jolene and Steve Zehnder of Bonney Lake; and his great-grandchild, Sara Zehnder. Also surviving are his two sisters, Delores Lampman and Eleanor Hedstrom, and sister-in-law, Lee Landwehr, all of Kalispell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Mame; and brothers, Jerry and Leonard.
