Flathead sheriff

Wolves surrounded a person Sunday morning, but apparently did not eat that individual on U.S. 2 East near Columbia Falls, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported. The same wolves have killed chickens. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service was contacted.

A knife and checkbook were stolen from a vehicle on Shady Glen Drive on Sunday morning.

A baby mountain lion was found Saturday evening, floating in one of the branches of the Flathead River next to Hungry Horse. Whether the cub was alive or dead was not reported. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service was contacted.

A 21-year-old man allegedly waved a nonfunctioning pistol at another vehicle in a road-rage incident on U.S. 2 late Saturday afternoon. He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Fifty keys were stolen from a truck on Lenwood Lane on Saturday afternoon.
