The lineup for the Western A divisional tennis tournament is stacked with talent and returning champions.

Hislop and Erickson are 14-0 on the season and have not lost a set.

On the boys' side, Whitefish's Matt Harris, a two-time singles champion, has teamed with Brendan Viscomi for doubles. They are seeded No. 1.

Renzo Caimi of Whitefish, who is also undefeated and has not lost a set, is seeded No. 1 in singles.

The Polson girls and Whitefish boys are defending team champions. The WHS boys will be going for their third straight divisional title.

"I think the West is pretty tough," Polson coach Bob Hislop said.

"There is a chance the West (teams) will be in the trophies in both the boys' and girls' at state."

Boys' No. 2 seeds are Whitefish's Ryan Rottenbiller (singles) and Columbia Falls' Grant Getts and Cody Maynard (doubles).

No. 2 girls' seeds are Whitefish's Brielle Menegazzi (singles) and Bigfork's Quindee Averill and Roxy Thurman (doubles).

The three-day event begins today at 2:30 p.m. with boys' singles at Flathead Valley Community College and girls' singles at The Summit.

Play resumes Friday at 8 a.m. with all doubles and boys' singles at FVCC, and girls' singles at The Summit.
