Flathead sheriff

Three loud booms, shortly followed by two more loud booms, were heard in the Forest Acres area of Whitefish early Sunday morning, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported. The origin of the booms never was found.

Whitefish police arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of domestic assault and assaulting two other people at a Park Avenue home Sunday morning.

Police arrested a 36-year-old man and a 31-year-old man on suspicion of peeing in a downtown alley early Sunday morning.

Police arrested a 54-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving on Dakota Avenue early Sunday morning.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of driving with a suspended license at Spokane Avenue and 19th Street on Saturday afternoon.

Police received 53 calls from 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

C. Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 12-year-old girl on suspicion of possessing alcohol Sunday afternoon.

Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving early Sunday morning.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy early Sunday morning. Information on the reason for the arrest was not available Sunday.

Police arrested a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of disorderly conduct late Saturday evening.

The Whitefish Fire Department and police used the town's hovercraft to rescue three people in Whitefish Lake after their canoe overturned early Sunday evening.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident early Sunday morning on Half Moon Road. One woman was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
