Vehicles towed after disturbance

Five Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance on Ridgewood Drive. A man allegedly pushed a woman out of a pickup truck, right in the middle of the road. Then another truck showed up and two additional people got involved in the altercation. Deputies ended up arresting one man on a Lincoln County warrant and towing both vehicles because nobody had a valid driver's license.

A LaBrant Road resident called deputies because the neighbor's horses were loose. Because of their strained relationship, the reporting party was uncomfortable contacting the neighbor directly.

Deputies were notified about a party, possibly with underage drinking, out in Marion.

A broken water line was reported on Whitefish Stage Road.

A woman was allegedly assaulted by the wife of the man she was romantically involved with. The wife, who had an outstanding warrant for writing bad checks, was reportedly hiding in some bushes off Shady Lane.

A disturbance reported at a motel on Montana 35 turned out to be a loud TV.

Deputies separated two people fighting at a bar on U.S. 2 near Coram.

A loud bang was heard on Montana 83, but deputies were unable to find anything amiss.

Deputies responded to South Fork Road in Martin City after somebody reported hearing 24 shots. When they went out to investigate, deputies found a man with his vehicle in a ditch.

A man with a rifle and a scope was spotted pointing it at things on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. The rifle turned out to be a pellet gun, but deputies advised him to take his target practice somewhere else.

Deputies arrested a man for partner assault after he allegedly took a woman's child and then punched her in the head on Bernard Road. The woman was also allegedly punched and choked by another woman on the scene.

Purses were reported stolen from a convenience store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen and from outside a Bigfork business.

Deputies received 152 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police cited a 19-year-old man for stealing from a grocery store and eatery on Second Avenue West. Hours later, officers arrested the same man for possession of dangerous drugs while investigating a suspicious person complaint on Third Avenue West.

Officers arrested a 42-year-old woman with four outstanding warrants for writing bad checks during a traffic stop on First Avenue West.

A 42-year-old man arrested on Great View Drive for trespass and criminal mischief allegedly called and threatened the victim when he got out of jail.

Campaign signs were stolen from an East California Street home. The incident turned out to be a prank played by the resident's brother.

A woman reported her car stereo stolen, but wouldn't tell officers where she was. She may have had a warrant out for her arrest.

A man tried to steal a case of beer from a convenience store on East Idaho Street, but dropped it in the road before he could get away.

A 77-year-old woman new to the area was reported missing from an Eighth Avenue West residence. She was found near a car wash on Fourth Avenue East North and returned home.

Officers arrested a 52-year-old man on Idaho and Main streets for driving under the influence of alcohol after his erratic driving was reported.

Officers arrested five kids for curfew violations near Lawrence Park.

A man told police his wife ran away with a man she met on the Internet, and now he was afraid he had left her in turn. She was depressed, possibly suicidal, and he didn't know where she was.

Transients hanging around a car dealership on U.S. 2 were told to move along.

A First Street West man told police his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend keeps driving past his house and offering to fight him.

Officers received 68 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police arrested a 46-year-old man for disturbing the peace after he was seen urinating behind a Central Avenue bar. They also arrested a 23-year-old man on Central Avenue and First Street for the same offense.

Officers visited an Armory Road residence and arrested a 37-year-old man on warrants for stalking and privacy in communications.

A 37-year-old man was arrested for running a stop sign, driving on a suspended license, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Spokane Avenue.

Officers received 40 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police arrested a 12-year-old for possession of alcohol at a grocery store on U.S. 2. The girl was later released to her parents.

A car was rifled through on Ninth Avenue West. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Officers received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

The Whitefish Fire Department helped fish a couple of people out of Whitefish Lake near Bay Point after their canoe tipped. No one was injured.

The department also responded to Little Creek Lane where a 48-year-old man was run over by a four-wheeler. He was taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Badrock Fire Department was paged out to a burning slash pile on Montana 206.
