A Lake Five Road resident got a call from a woman offering to sell her an extended warrantee on her 1956 Chevrolet pickup. Flathead County sheriff's deputies were notified of the attempted scam.

Deputies arrested a 22-year-old woman on a felony warrant for writing bad checks on Shady Lane after someone told authorities where she was.

An Amdahl Lane resident came across a black bear in the garage.

A 20-year-old woman being held in jail after her arrest by Kalispell police on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court was taken to the hospital after complaining of chest and kidney pain. While at the hospital, she told authorities she had been raped. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies received 145 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police arrested a 42-year-old man on warrants for traffic violations after he was found passed out in the stairwell of a hotel on U.S. 93 South.

Officers responded to a residence on Second Avenue West, where an 11-year-old girl was on a roof threatening to harm herself. She was taken to the hospital.

An inmate of the county jail called a woman and threatened to kill her unborn child.

Officers received 113 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia after responding to reports of a disturbance on Baker Avenue.

A man on Ashar Avenue reported that a carload of youths called him obscene names.

Officers received 53 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports that a girl was assaulted in front of the library by other girls.

Officers received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
