The Whitefish Fire Department responded to Mallard Loop after a home reportedly filled with smoke.

The Somers Fire Department responded to Creekview Drive after a bathroom fan reportedly started a fire in the ceiling and filled the residence with smoke.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to Trumble Creek Road after receiving reports that somebody broke a hip.

The Marion Fire Department responded to a building on U.S. 2 after a motorcycle tipped over on a man, temporarily trapping him. The 62-year-old man, who suffered injuries to his legs and back, declined transport to the hospital.

Flathead County Sheriff's Office

Someone on Swan River Road in Bigfork told Flathead County Sheriff's deputies that a recently fired employee threatened to shoot their former boss in the face and, somewhat redundantly, beat the person up.

Deputies responded to a motel on U.S. 2 in Evergreen after receiving a complaint about a guest's loud music. It apparently is an ongoing problem.

A manager at a Shady Lane RV park positioned his tractor in front of a resident's trailer, preventing the person from leaving until rent on the space was paid.

A Haywire Gulch resident complained about a neighbor, who allegedly was cutting down trees on his property.

Bigfork

A herd of horses took up residence in the middle of Sylvan Drive in Bigfork.

Passersby reported an injured moose on Montana 83.

Columbia Falls

Someone attempted to steal a satellite radio from a car on South Hilltop Road.

Someone vandalized a vehicle on Martha Road. Columbia Falls police are investigating.

Reports that someone was crashing a pickup truck into carts at a grocery store on U.S. 2 were unfounded.

Evergreen

Bullet holes, possibly from a BB gun, were found in the windshield of a truck parked on River Road in Evergreen.

Vehicles were reported stolen on Talbot Road in Columbia Falls and Edgewood Drive in Evergreen.

Whitefish

Deputies responded to disturbances on Airport Road, Helena Flats Road, Texas Avenue in Whitefish, Witty Lane, and a trailer park on U.S. 93 north of Kalispell.

Deputies were called to deal with a group of skinny dippers near a Lakeside motel.

The trim was ripped off a Jeep parked at Whitefish high school. Whitefish police took the report.

Officers arrested a 22-year-old man on a warrant out of Kalispell for failure to appear on traffic citations. The man was walking past the police station when officers got reports that somebody he was with might be a runaway.

An office sign on East Second Street was vandalized. Swastikas reportedly had been scratched onto it.

Kalispell

Kalispell police told a woman throwing food at a restaurant near the intersection of Main and Idaho streets to leave or be cited for trespassing.

A Third Avenue West resident told police his landlord was threatening him.

A group of people outside a clothing store on U.S. 93 North reportedly were scaring off customers. One of the group had previously been cited for shoplifting, according to employees. Turns out they were just waiting for a friend, who was still inside.

A man kicked out of a restaurant on First Avenue West hit a sign on his way out of the parking lot.

Someone came into a man's workplace, a sandwich shop on U.S. 93, and began showing photos taken on Halloween. Employees thought this was weird and called police.

A Fourth Avenue East woman turned in her roommate for possessing stolen property.

A Conrad Drive man returned home from training with the National Guard to find his front door kicked in.

A man refusing to leave a convenience store on U.S. 93 North allegedly hit a woman during the altercation.

Two men kicked out of a bar on U.S. 93 South staggered into a wall before getting into a car and driving off.

Someone tried to break into a transmission shop on Sixth Avenue West, but failed to get inside.

Vulgar words were written in the dust on car parked near a First Avenue West building.

Pills and CDs were taken from a car parked at an East Idaho Street motel.

A woman told police that the father of her child was threatening to kidnap the kid.

An assault was reported at the Flathead County Detention Center. An inmate allegedly attacked another inmate.
