A Trumble Creek Road man allegedly left disturbing messages on his girlfriend's phone during an argument because he didn't want her to come home. The worried girlfriend called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies.

A trucker ran over at least one horse on U.S. 93 and Commons Way.

Horses got out of a pen on Montana 40 and made a mess on a neighbor's property; then their owner drove out in the field to round them up, causing more damage.

Vandalism was reported at a gravel pit on Whitefish Stage Road.

Reports of a stolen vehicle on Pleasant Valley Road near Marion turned out to be a civil matter. Payments allegedly weren't made on the vehicle in question.

Deputies were called to clear debris off Foy's Lake Road and, separately, off Montana 35 near the intersection with Montana 206.

Deputies responded to disturbances on Parliament Drive, Riverside Drive and on Swan Ridge Road near Columbia Falls.

Deputies were called to referee a child custody dispute on U.S. 93 near Whitefish.

Deputies received 137 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to Teal Drive after a man caught a boy breaking into his garage. The "victim" was packing a 9 mm pistol and detained the boy until officers arrived and arrested him for trespass, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and theft.

Officers arrested a 37-year-old man on two warrants after responding to a fight on Second Avenue West.

Officers responded to a bar on South Main Street after a vehicle rolled into another vehicle. No one was injured, but officers arrested one woman on a warrant.

Solar lights were stolen from a front yard on Empire Loop.

The occupant of an office on Second Street East told officers someone spent the last two nights squatting in the building. He agreed to change the locks.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both for disorderly conduct, after responding to a disturbance at an East Idaho Street restaurant.

A skunk was spotted running in circles on River View Drive. Thinking it was rabid, a passerby called police.

A woman hit a propane tank in the parking lot of a grocery store on West Idaho Street.

A change jar was reported stolen from a West Idaho Street dry cleaner. The suspect was arrested at the casino next door for theft.

Officers received 75 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 24-year-old woman on a warrant for negligent endangerment after she presented herself at the police station.

Officers arrested a 41-year-old woman on a felony warrant for issuing bad checks after visiting her Fox Hollow Lane residence.

Officers received 45 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports of a theft on Fourth Avenue West. No word Tuesday night on what went missing.

Officers are investigating reports that two kids were smoking pot on 11th Street West.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested on warrants for failure to appear in court while officers were responding to a trespassing complaint on Eighth Street West.

Officers received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Seventh Street West. The flames, which reportedly were burning 3 to 4 feet above the chimney's mouth, were extinguished.

The Kalispell Fire Department also responded to a restaurant on East Idaho Street after someone there suffered a leg injury.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a crash on Seventh Avenue East North. One person was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a neck injury.

The Marion Fire Department responded to the 12,000 block of U.S. 2 after smoke was sighted.

The South Kalispell, Smith Valley and West Valley fire departments responded to what was reported as a house fire on U.S. 2 near Kila. It turned out to be a slash pile.

The Smith Valley Fire Department also responded to a controlled burn on Truman Creek Road.

Three Rivers EMS and the Canyon Quick Response Unit responded to First Avenue South in Martin City after a 16-year-old girl got bleach in her eye. She was not taken to the hospital.
