Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a school on West Evergreen Drive after a student started acting up and wouldn't quit. The student, who already was on probation, was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

The driver of a pickup truck pulled into a Farm To Market Road driveway, shot at something in a field, and then left.

A man on Elk Street in Coram told deputies the ex-boyfriend of a woman staying with him showed up and started an argument. The ex-boyfriend was given a ride off the premises.

A Meadowlark Drive resident asked deputies to remove an unwanted person from their home.

A West Reserve Drive resident left a bag outside the door while moving other items into the house. When the resident returned for the bag, it was gone.

Deputies responded to reports of a disturbance on Lakeside Avenue and an assault at a casino on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Deputies also responded to North Cedar Drive where a child refused to listen to his parents. All parties involved were counseled.

A resident on Browns Meadow Road reported receiving threats.

Cows reportedly went missing off Treasure Lane. They were found and driven back into their corral.

Deputies received 115 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to the parking lot of a restaurant on U.S. 93 North after a man called to report that the driver of a small sports car tried to run down his wife. Officers defused a confrontation between the man and the driver.

While trying to steal items from a truck parked on West Nevada Street, a would-be thief damaged the vehicles doors and back window.

Political signs went missing from a Fourth Avenue East residence for the second time in two weeks.

Officers arrested a 25-year-old woman on a warrant for failure to appear in court while investigating reports of a domestic disturbance on Fourth Street East.

A bag of needles and a spoon were found on First Avenue West.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after responding to a suspicious person report on Second Avenue West.

Officers responded to an Eighth Avenue West residence and separated a woman and her 14-year-old daughter. They had been involved in an argument. Officers also separated a man and woman arguing at a restaurant on U.S. 2 West.

South Meridian Road residents told deputies they heard someone banging, then scratching, on the window.

Officers arrested a 51-year-old man on a warrant for burglary while investigating a reported disturbance on First Avenue East North.

Officers told a man going through the vacuum-cleaning-area trash bags at a Fourth Avenue East North car wash to move along.

A laptop computer went missing from a real estate business on South Main Street.

Tools were reported missing from a shop on South Meridian Road. Turns out an employee took them out to a job site near Essex. The employee was told to return the tools or face theft charges.

Officers received 76 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 40 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police were called to Third Avenue West after some kids were spotted smoking.

A dog was hit by a car on U.S. 2. It survived.

Officers received 31 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Smith Valley Fire Department and Marion Ambulance responded to a crash near the intersection of U.S. 2 and West Springcreek Road.

The Hungry Horse Fire Department responded to reports of a wildfire on Wounded Buck Creek Road.

A concerned citizen called the Whitefish Fire Department after observing several plumes of smoke. Turns out the smoke was coming from some burning slash piles.

The Creston Fire Department was sent to Foothill Road after smoke was sighted.
