The Bigfork School Board voted not to appeal the state°Os reclassification of the high school sports programs from Class A to Class B at a board meeting Wednesday night.

The school board voted 4-2 to go along with the Montana High School Association°Os decision, which will take effect next fall.

°()()The MHSA guidelines are there for a reason and that is to try and ensure a competitive fairness among the schools,°+/- said Bigfork School District Superintendent Russell Kinzer. °()()We believe the MHSA recommendation was something that should be followed, that was the administrative recommendation.°+/-

The move was based on dropping enrollments at Bigfork High that were projected to continue, Kinzer said.

Roughly 30 people showed up for the board meeting at the high school to discuss the change.A6P5 °()()It was a very constructive discussion,°+/- Kinzer said, °()()but it seemed to me that more people spoke up in favor of going to B.°+/-
