Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of disorderly conduct and a warrant for failure to appear on an open container charge after he was involved in a fight at a Main Street church.

A man hanging out in a park next to an elementary school made parents suspicious.

After she was involved in an accident on North Meridian Road, a 20-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant.

Shoplifting was reported at sporting goods store.

A grocery store refused to sell alcohol to a man who was drunk, so he left and parked his car at the gas station across the street. Officers gave him a ride to a motel and left the car at the gas station. Apparently he didn't remember much about this Saturday morning when he called police to report his vehicle stolen.

A customer was unhappy with the defective game he'd bought Friday, so he called and threatened to kill the store owner.

While investigating a suspicious-person complaint on Sixth Avenue West, officers arrested a 21-year-old woman on a warrant.

A woman went to a bar after reportedly being assaulted by her husband. She was taken to the hospital to treat the lacerations on her face.

A caller who had been fighting with his neighbor said he was just standing in his front yard when the neighbor tried to run him over.

Someone dumped two or three dead buck carcasses in a business Dumpster on Main Street.

A caller reported his daughter had been sexually assaulted by a 19-year-old man during the summer of 2007.

Columbia Falls police received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The slash pile in the Elk Highland subdivision wasn't out of control as a caller had reported, but because Friday was a no-burn day, Big Mountain Fire Department told the fire-starters to put it out.
