A "Comedy Of Errors" led to a stolen hunting rifle in Hungry Horse late Saturday evening, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported.

Two drunken guys got into a nasty mood while talking to two men in a car on Hungry Horse Boulevard at about 11 p.m. The driver moved the car across the road and stopped. One man in the car opened the trunk to show the two drunken guys that he had a hunting rifle to scare them off.

One of the drunk guys took the rifle, and fired a shot. It was unknown Sunday whether he was aiming at anything. The two drunken guys then ran off with the rifle.

Deputies ticketed five 17-year-old and 18-year-old boys on suspicion of underage drinking at a party on Walker Creek Lane late Saturday evening.

A stereo was stolen from a vehicle in a Columbia Heights garage early Sunday morning.

An unknown person moved a tractor from a Brown Meadows Road house to a U.S. Forest Service road early Sunday morning.

A tire was slashed on Conrad Drive on Sunday morning.

A Kalispell Fire Department car hit a deer on U.S. 2 Sunday morning, Other than the deer, no one was hurt, Kalispell police reported.
