Flathead County sheriff

A Flathead Drive man brought a couple of people he met at a nearby casino back to his place for a couple of beers. When they left, the man discovered $175 missing from his wallet. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were notified.

A car speeding up and down Lost Creek Drive was reported as suspicious after it pulled into a resident's driveway several times.

Two firearms, reportedly .30-06-caliber and .22-caliber rifles, were taken from a pickup truck on Riley Lane.

Deputies separated a man and woman arguing at a motel on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell. The woman claims she was manhandled.

A man told deputies he was assaulted at a Saturday night house party on Holt Drive in Bigfork.

Deputies responded to Adams Street after a 12-year-old boy allegedly threatened a house guest with a knife and then took off into the woods.

Someone drove across the grass at a golf course off Tamarack Lane in Columbia Falls.

Guns and a safe were stolen from a storage unit near Marion. A storage unit on Jensen Road also was broken into.

A child missing from a school on East Evergreen Drive made it home, unharmed.

When a man went back to retrieve his game camera from the Ashley Lake area, it was gone.

Deputies responded to an address on U.S. 93 South after threats allegedly were made. Deputies counseled the parties involved.

Possible poachers were spotted on Egan Road. Wildlife officials responded to investigate the claim.

Deputies received 131 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police counseled an intoxicated man allegedly trying to start a fight outside a Farview Drive home.

Another intoxicated man requested officers break up a disturbance at a South Meridian Road residence. No one involved elected to press charges.

Christmas lights on a Center Street bank were vandalized. Someone apparently also tampered with the night deposit drop box.

A man reported that his identity was being used by someone in Florida.

After noticing her doorknob was loose, a 10th Avenue West woman called police. She was afraid someone had tried to break in.

Debris was scattered all over East Idaho Street after a tractor-trailer failed to clear the underpass.

A Sixth Avenue West woman returned home to find her door deadbolted, which she apparently did not do. Nothing was missing, however, from the residence. She called again a few hours later to request officers walk through her house to make sure no one was inside.

Four rims and studded snow tires were taken from outside a First Avenue West garage.

A car ran over some signs near a West Idaho Street bank, but no one was injured in the crash.

Officers received 64 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 42-year-old Eureka man for probation violation, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and having expired registration after his vehicle broke down on Baker Avenue and Second Street West.

A pickup truck ran into the front of a house on Sixth Street East, and then the driver took off on foot. The 26-year-old culprit was later arrested for hit and run and reckless driving.

Officers received 35 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police

Items allegedly were stolen from a locker at Columbia Falls High School. Columbia Falls police took the report.

A vehicle on Second Avenue West was vandalized. The car's hood and windows were damaged.

Officers broke up a fight outside a convenience store on U.S. 2. No one involved wanted to press charges.

Officers received 21 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Liberty Street after an elderly man at the residence fell.

The Kalispell and Evergreen fire departments responded to a rollover crash near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Birch Grove Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department also responded to a building at the intersection of U.S. 93 and Grandview Drive after somebody smelled what they thought was leaking natural gas or propane.

The Creston Fire Department responded to what was reported as a brush fire on Van Sant Road.
