A man scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in Flathead County District Court on a felony DUI conviction showed up with a blood-alcohol level of .22 percent - almost three times the legal limit for driving. He was sentenced anyway. The Flathead County Sheriff's Office supplied the Breathalyzer machine.

When a Cobbler Way man took his .30-06-caliber hunting rife out to show his girlfriend, it accidentally went off and blew a hole through his upstairs neighbor's floor. The neighbor told deputies the bullet, which exited through the building's roof, narrowly missed him. Deputies determined the discharge was an accident, and no criminal charges will be filed.
