Employees of a carpet-cleaning company on U.S. 2 in Evergreen told Flathead County sheriff's deputies that one of their work vans was missing a door. No word on where it went, or who might have taken it and why.

About $2,000 was taken from a Mission Way man's unlocked vehicle. A couple of hours later, the man's brother called from the same address to report that an iPod and cell phone had been taken from his vehicle.

An inmate of the Flathead County Detention Center filed a theft complaint.

Deputies were unable to find a man in a truck reportedly taking pictures of a Forest Drive resident's home.

A man on U.S. 93 South was reported by a neighbor for stealing rocks from another person's property. Turns out he works for a company hired to be there.

Deputies responded to U.S. 93 and Somers Stage Road after receiving reports that an intoxicated 52-year-old man was walking around, knocking on doors. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI after deputies found his car in a nearby ditch.

The Kalispell Fire Department extinguished a car fire at a bank on First Avenue West. The department responded to Third Avenue West, where a 10-year-old girl suffered a cut on her head, reportedly from a plate. She was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Three hours later, the department was back at the same Third Avenue West residence to extinguish a grease fire on the stove. The fire put itself out, but the house was filled with smoke.

The department responded to reports of a crash on Marquardt Lane, but nobody was around the vehicle when they arrived. The department also responded to a two-vehicle crash off Willow Glen Drive. One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The West Valley Fire Department was paged to a field on West Valley Drive after a burn there reportedly got out of control. It hadn't.
