Residents don't leave after foreclosure

Despite the fact that their property had been foreclosed on, the occupants of a residence on First Avenue South in Martin City refused to leave. The new owner called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies.

A couple was fighting both inside and out of a bar near Glacier National Park. Deputies from two counties helped settle the dispute.

Someone in a green Ford truck drove though a construction site near a furniture store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen, damaging the work.

An intoxicated landowner allegedly tried to run a tenant out of a Hubbard Dam Road residence, making threats in the process.

A motorist followed a Columbia Falls man home, reportedly because the man had honked at the driver.

The door to a trailer at a business on U.S. 2 in Evergreen was found open, but no one was inside and nothing was missing.

An assault reported behind a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen actually wasn't. A man had fallen into a campfire and burned himself with gasoline. He was taken to the hospital.

Political signs were damaged on Armory Road outside Whitefish.

Deputies cited shoplifters at two different box stores on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Deputies were called to dispatch several hit or injured animals Sunday, including a cat on Sampson Lane near Creston and a moose on Bitterroot Lane in Marion.

A group of kids reportedly were riding four-wheelers unsafely in the Kuhns Road area.

People illegally spotlighting animals on a dirt path off Helena Flats Road were reported to deputies.

A West Valley Drive resident told deputies a neighbor drove through an easement without first opening the gate, damaging it.

Two Evergreen residents reported receiving harassing phone calls. One person was being bothered by a collection agency, the second person by a threatening woman.

It appears someone tried to pry open the door to a casino on U.S. 2 west of Kalispell. The suspect was unsuccessful.

Deputies received 124 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

A woman called Kalispell police from the drive through of a fast food restaurant on West Idaho Street to report that the driver in front of her kept stepping on the accelerator, emitting obnoxious black fumes.

An engagement ring was either lost or stolen at a bar on Second Street East.

The pastor of a Two Mile Drive church reported a man, possibly under the influence of narcotics, behaving strangely. He was gone when officers arrived.

A woman called police from the garage of her Seventh Avenue West residence to request that officers remove her intoxicated husband from the home. He was already gone when help arrived.

A Harrison Boulevard resident saw the neighbors using flashlights to look into the windows of her vehicles.

Someone allegedly broke into a Fifth Avenue West business but took nothing.

A car was rifled through on Honeysuckle Lane. Two other vehicles and a garage were rifled through on Buttercup Loop. Also on Buttercup Loop, a resident reported finding a camera, camera bag, and bullet in his yard.

Political signs were destroyed on Sherwood Lane and stolen on Northern Lights Boulevard.

Officers received 55 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

While responding to reports of a suspicious person on U.S. 93, Whitefish police arrested a 19-year-old man for possession of alcohol, disorderly conduct, and three counts of criminal mischief. He reportedly slashed some tires.

Officers received 46 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police responded to Sixth Avenue West where a juvenile reportedly was assaulted. Officers are investigating.

A 7-year-old girl who disappeared from school about 2 p.m. was found at a girl scouts meeting three hours later.

Officers received 19 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a motel on Montana 35 after somebody there reported smelling natural gas. Evergreen firefighters also responded to a broken gas line on Shady Lane.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to reports of a gas leak on Woodland Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a crash on First Avenue East North and Montana Street. Occupants suffered only minor injuries.

Three Rivers EMS responded up the North Fork Road after a man was hit in the chest with a log. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Big Mountain Fire Department, Big Mountain Ambulance, and the Whitefish Fire Department responded to a crash on Big Mountain Road. A man was taken to North Valley Hospital with head injuries.

The Evergreen Fire Department extinguished a car burning near a building on U.S. 2.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Ninth Avenue West where a TV reportedly had been smoking. There was no fire.
