Doctors at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room called Flathead County sheriff's deputies to report a stabbing. A man had come in with a wound in his back, but told doctors he fell. The man, who refused to cooperate with investigators, also was connected somehow to a crash on Mountain View Drive. A pickup allegedly ran into a fence.

A woman on U.S. 2 called deputies with a suspicious person complaint after noticing two men talking to each other in her front yard. Turns out they were the neighbors.

An older gentleman fell off his tricycle at Woodland Park. He was not hurt.

Inmates of the juvenile detention center tore up some books and scattered pieces of a jigsaw puzzle across their cell.

Vehicles on Mackinaw Loop in Somers were rifled through. About $3 in change was taken from one of them.

A South Woodland Drive resident accused a former roommate of absconding with their belongings.

A passer-by reported seeing a man chasing a woman outside a bar on Montana 35 in Evergreen. Responding deputies came across a happy couple walking down the road, but were unable to find any disturbance.

A horse on Montana 206 impaled itself on a metal post while trying to jump it. It died.

Tires were slashed on a car parked in Hungry Horse. The owner thinks it was done by the same people who are following and threatening him.

A business on Grand Drive in Bigfork was egged.

Someone broke into some outbuildings on East Edgewood Drive, but didn't take anything.

Pet owners came into the Sheriff's Office to report that a vicious pit bull ate their cat.

Deputies responded to reports of a disturbance at a Marion campground, but when they arrived the man and woman allegedly involved were getting along fine. Hours later, deputies were back. This time the woman accused the man of threatening to kill her, punching her, kicking her, and holding a pocket knife to her throat. She was taken to the hospital. The 46-year-old man had fled when deputies arrived, but they tracked him down and arrested him on suspicion of assault with a weapon.

Deputies received 124 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested an 11-year-old boy on suspicion of three counts of felony assault with a weapon. The boy allegedly threatened three younger boys at a Hawthorne Avenue park with a serrated kitchen knife. An adult reportedly saw the boy and called police. The boy told investigators he had the knife to cut rope.

Officers arrested a 60-year-old man with an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop on North Meridian Road.

A woman kicked out of a Fifth Avenue West homeless shelter returned the next day and refused to leave.

A Ninth Avenue West man was sprayed in the eye with pepper spray - allegedly by the same man who had been harassing him earlier.

Glasses were stolen from a car on Second Avenue East. Cars were rifled through on Fifth Avenue East, Third Avenue East North, and 14th Street East.

A man allegedly threatened to kill a Third Street West resident.

A woman at a hotel on U.S. 93 South tried to ring for a wake-up call but ended up dialing 911.

Officers responded to a First Avenue East business and found the door pried open and the building rifled through.

A transient, who for the past two mornings locked himself in the Woodland Park bathrooms, was told to move along.

Officers received 80 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responded to a bar on Central Avenue after receiving reports that some intoxicated patrons were fighting.

A GPS unit was taken from a car on Baker Avenue.

Officers received 35 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 26-year-old man on a warrant for failure to appear when he came to file a child-abuse complaint.

Officers received 19 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Seventh Avenue East and 12th Street. Three people suffered minor injuries, but at least one was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Marion Fire Department was paged out to some burning slash piles on Wildebeest Lane. The fire was under control.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a grass fire on an embankment on Granrud Lane, near a Whitefish Stage Road school. Investigators suspect some youths may have been messing around.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Blue Crest Drive for a nosebleed.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a hit gas line on Wisconsin Avenue and reports of a natural-gas odor on Haskill Drive.
