Fall fun at the Pumpkin Patch

| October 18, 2008 1:00 AM

After more than two hours of exploration, 7-year-old Dominic Battello picks out his very own pumpkin to take home Wednesday afternoon at Sweet Pickin's Pumpkin Patch off Columbia Falls Stage Road, 1 1/2 miles north of Montana 35. Along with hundreds of pumpkins, the patch offers a variety of children's activities including mazes, bouncy balls, tractor rides, giant sandboxes and petting zoos with rabbits, goats, sheep, donkeys and chickens. Sweet Pickin's is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m. through October. Admission is $5 or free to those 2 and under. Pumpkins are 25 cents a pound.
