The Alcohol Enforcement Team conducted compliance checks Friday afternoon and evening. At least two businesses were ticketed in connection with serving alcohol to minors. Those businesses also reported thefts to the Sheriff's Office and to Kalispell police; apparently the officers who wrote the tickets neglected to pay for the drinks the bars served to the underage drinkers.

Flathead County Sheriff

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office is investigating a slew of burglaries that took place in downtown Bigfork early Saturday morning. There were at least eight reported break-ins at businesses on Commerce Street, Electric Avenue, Grand Avenue, River Street and Montana 35. In every case, someone kicked in the door to gain entry. The burglars did not get inside every building. Nothing was reported missing, according to the Sheriff's Office.

A burglary, which occurred late Friday afternoon, was reported on Willow Glen Drive.

A woman suspects the DVD she purchased is a pirated copy. The case was turned over to the FBI.

Money was stolen from vehicles on Mountain View Drive.

A chain saw, leaf blower and golf clubs are missing from a maintenance shop on River Bend Drive in West Glacier.

An intoxicated man called for help when he couldn't find his vehicle. He was convinced it had been stolen, but he couldn't figure out how the thieves had done it - the keys were in his pocket. Deputies helped him locate the car, which was parked in his yard, right where he'd left it.

One man went to the hospital after a bar fight in Martin City.

Deputies asked the intoxicated man attempting to fight people in an Evergreen casino parking lot to move along.

A drunken man who claimed to be with the Sheriff's Office but lacked the badge to prove it showed up on a Somers Road doorstep early Saturday morning.

A Mountain Village man said someone stole his guitar, some money and a pair of Nikes from his apartment while he was in the hospital. Later the man called to clarify that the guitar was his mother's; he'd loaned it to someone who had sold it.

An Evergreen man said he was being stalked.

A possible drug deal, involving three men and one plastic bag, reportedly took place in a box store parking lot.

A landlord says the tenant who moved out of his Hungry Horse house took property that doesn't belong to him.

A pickup was vandalized on Kookoosint Trail in Kalispell.

The naked man lying on the ground near a lodge in Hungry Horse complained of a headache. He was given a ride to the hospital for medical and mental-health evaluations.

A North Fork woman reported a package had been stolen but was in too big a hurry to provide further details Saturday.

An Arizona doctor called the Sheriff's Office to report an accidental shooting that took place in the Flathead Valley about three weeks ago. A young man visiting the valley had accidentally shot himself in the leg while carrying a gun on Star Meadow Road. He'd never reported the incident and didn't seek medical attention in Montana.

The Sheriff's Office logged 203 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a man and a woman after their pickup went through a fence. The man, who was driving, parked the truck, and both left the scene on foot. Police ticketed the woman in connection with disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. The man was ticketed in connection with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, failure to identify himself at the scene and failure to notify the property owner of the damage.

A parent checked pawn shops for a child's game and cell phone, which had been stolen while left unattended on the playground Friday afternoon.

A Fourth Avenue West resident reported seeing a middle-aged man with a camera and tripod taking pictures of a neighbor's 5-year-old son and his friends Friday afternoon. When the neighbor approached the man, he hurriedly gathered his gear and walked away.

An officer escorted a woman to her car from a casino Friday night when she reported two men had been casing the joint earlier that evening.

A Second Street West resident hadn't seen his car since his roommate borrowed it five days earlier.

Someone reported a man jumping on a vehicle in a parking lot on U.S. 2. The two cars parked there when an officer arrived weren't damaged.

Three people who apparently were trying to break into a vehicle on Third Avenue left when the vehicle owner yelled at them.

An 18-speed Huffy bicycle was stolen from a porch on First Avenue West early Saturday morning.

Officers counseled a woman who said her ex-boyfriend had sold a pickup without her permission.

Six political signs were stolen or destroyed at a yard on 11th Street East.

All four tires were slashed and oil was poured over a vehicle parked on Grandview Drive. A little farther down the street, two more vehicles received similar treatment.

A male customer reportedly "requested inappropriate things" of a massage therapist at a Kalispell salon.

Officers received 87 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating a sexual assault that reportedly took place on Sixth Street West.

Police arrested a 43-year-old woman on a Flathead County warrant for writing bad checks.

A bike was stolen on Fourth Avenue West.

Officers received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 19-year-old woman from Kila in connection with driving under the influence, speeding, driving without insurance and eluding officers.

Officers told a man who reportedly fired a compound bow in an alley that he can't shoot within city limits.

The man sleeping in the bushes outside Whitefish Middle School was given a ride to a hotel.

Officers received 58 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

Kalispell Fire Department responded to an electrical fire near the fitness desk at The Summit on Friday afternoon.

A man was discovered bleeding from the head in a thrift store parking lot early Saturday morning. Kalispell Fire Department ambulance took him to the hospital.
