Francis Wayne Poole, 55

Francis Wayne Poole, 55, died of cancer Oct. 14, 2008, at Northwest Health Care in Kalispell. He was born on Feb. 11, 1953, in Fort Myers, Fla., and was raised in Amacoil, Fla.

After graduating from high school, he became a certified welder. He most recently worked in the drywall business as a finish techer for JC's Best Drywall. His previous work history also includes farming in Florida, working on ranches, welding piers, fencing, making camper toppers in Helena, and cooking for a hunting outfitter in Helena.

In 2006, he married Claire in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Francis enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding Harleys, and being with friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bascom Poole; and an infant daughter, Missy.

He is survived by his wife, Claire J. Poole, of Somers; son, Ben Poole; wife's sons, Michael Barron of Sanford, Fla., and Samuel Canham of Walla Walla, Wash.; mother, Edrice Poole, of Cape Coral, Fla.; twin brothers, James and Cheryl Poole of Naples, Fla., and Jerry and Linda Poole of Cottondale, Fla.; sisters, Carol Poole of Labelle, Fla., and Debbie Poole of Winnabow, N.C.; grandchildren, Cusic and Olivia Canham of Walla Walla, and Victoria Barron of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; and uncles and aunts from Florida and Australia. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Lady.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
