When Flathead County Sheriff's deputies stopped to check out a man and two girls outside a car dealership on U.S. 2 in Evergreen, one of the women bolted. Deputies tracked her down and discovered she had been reported as a runaway.

Deputies responded to an argument between a man and his son on Klondyke Loop. The son eventually left but returned and became belligerent. He was arrested on suspicion of family member assault.

Deputies helped settle a dispute between a man and his father-in-law on Coyote Meadow Trail in Bigfork. They also responded to an argument between a woman and her son on Winterhawk Drive. She wanted him gone.

An injured bear was spotted on Murer Lane in Ferndale. An Aero Lane resident also reported having bear problems. Later, injured bear cubs were spotted off U.S. 93 north of Lakeside.

Two cars in the rear parking lot of an Evergreen casino were reported as suspicious.

An excavator and another piece of machinery at a construction business on Farm To Market Road were vandalized.

A Conrad Drive resident requested an extra patrol after items were stolen from a vehicle.

Deputies received 145 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police told a man carrying a large knife to stay away from the vacuum cleaners at an East Montana Street car wash. A passerby, who thought the man might have been trying to break into the car wash, had reported him in the area.

A purse was stolen from a car on First Street East.

A man called Flathead County Justice Court and threatened to bring a weapon to his hearing.

The owner of a Heavens Peak Drive boat told officers that 50 gallons of fuel had been siphoned from its tanks.

Officers broke up an argument between a man and his intoxicated daughter in the parking lot of a bulk store on U.S. 93 North. She was given a ride home.

Officers arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of DUI and open container during a traffic stop near a convenience store on U.S. 2.

A Great View Drive resident reported seeing a flash and believed a shot had been fired. Officers counseled the culprit about using fireworks.

While breaking up a fight at a bar on Airport Road, officers arrested a man with an outstanding warrant.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old man on warrants for drug possession, failure to pay fines, possession of alcohol, criminal mischief and violating the terms of his deferred sentence during a traffic stop on Eighth Avenue West. A 19-year-old woman also was arrested on a warrant for traffic violations.

A man kicked out of the emergency room at Kalispell Regional Medical Center allegedly started damaging vehicles in the parking lot.

Officers counseled a Harrison Boulevard man who wanted to file a harassment complaint against his neighbor, who keeps turning him in to police.

A 13-year-old 10th Street East girl received threatening phone calls from an unknown man.

Officers received 79 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police took a report of criminal mischief from a restaurant on U.S. 93. Somebody reportedly vandalized a garbage can.

Graffiti was found on the old hospital building off U.S. 93.

Officers arrested a 26-year-old woman on a Montana Highway Patrol warrant while investigating reports of a domestic disturbance on Colorado Avenue.

Officers received 39 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police received 26 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

The ALERT helicopter, Kalispell Fire Department, Marion ambulance and Smith Valley Fire Department were paged out to treat the victim of a fall on Danielson Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Windward Way after a man passed out. The man, who was breathing and conscious, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to reports of a fire near Foy's Lake. It turned out to be the controlled burn of a slash pile.

The Hungry Horse Fire Department responded to a hit gas line on First Avenue North.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to the intersection of U.S. 2 and Montana 35 after a vehicle and bicyclist collided. The rider suffered an injured leg and a bloody nose.
