A resident on the North Fork Road just north of Columbia Falls called Flathead County sheriff's deputies to report that a neighbor was dumping garbage along railroad tracks behind the house. The trash reportedly was attracting bears.

A Linda Vista Drive resident reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Gunshots, or possibly fireworks, were reported on East Evergreen Drive and Kuhns Road. Deputies discovered nothing criminal. Also, shots reportedly were fired on Tetrault Road.

Dogs were spotted killing chickens on Spring Prairie Road and Conrad Drive.

Deputies responded to a Conrad Drive residence to remove an unwanted person.

Youths banging on doors on FFA Drive were told to leave. When they didn't, deputies were called.

Deputies responded to reports of a disturbance between a man and his girlfriend on Conrad Drive. He was arrested.

A deer got caught in a fence on Aspen Court, and a bear was spotted on Riverside Drive.

Deputies responded to reports of a fight between a man and woman on Montana 35 in Bigfork. He was gone when they arrived.

Someone broke out the driver's side window of a car parked off Farm To Market Road.

Deputies counseled the parents of a 15-year-old girl on Forest Hill Road, where they had been dispatched after the girl wouldn't obey.

Deputies broke off a fight between a man and woman on Echo Lake Road. He went to jail on an outstanding warrant.

Deputies received 133 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police were called to take a student from Flathead High School to City Court to appear on a warrant for possession of tobacco.

License plates were stolen from an SUV on Fifth Avenue West.

Officers advised a woman reportedly seen yelling, pulling her hair, and stabbing herself with a pen to get medical help.

A man called police to report he had been assaulted by another man on Fourth Avenue West. The fight reportedly involved some yelling.

A North Belmar Drive resident received several hang-ups, followed by a call from a person who asked whether the homeowner was home alone, said several other incoherent things, and then mentioned something about a burglary.

Officers arrested a 72-year-old woman on suspicion of DUI on East Idaho Street after a fellow motorist reported her erratic driving.

The mother of a 16-year-old girl and her son allegedly came into her daughter's East Idaho Street workplace and threatened him.

A customer of an East Idaho Street restaurant told police that servers were adding tips to bills he paid with a credit card.

Officers warned a man about dumping his leaves near a West Idaho Street grocery store.

An employee of a health clinic on U.S. 93 North told police he was assaulted. A co-worker allegedly stomped on his foot.

Officers received 62 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 31 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police took custody a 38-year-old man with an outstanding city warrant after he was arrested in the Hungry Horse area.

Political signs were reported as stolen on Columbia Drive.

Officers received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a possible gas leak on Half Moon Road.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a three-car crash near the intersection of U.S. 2 and River Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to the intersection of Glenwood Drive and Husky Street after a vehicle and pedestrian collided.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to what was reported as an unattended fire about halfway up Lion Mountain.
